Design focus: Fun

Minerii is the main developer of The Planet Miner and looks after the fun: upgrades that stack into combos and feel good every time. He plays Lee Sin almost exclusively in League of Legends, but insists he is not good at all, since he is only Challenger.

The Minerii method

The dopamine reactor
  1. Hit rock. Receive number.
  2. Buy upgrade. Number gets bigger.
  3. Combo goes off. Screen shakes. Joy.
  4. The planet is grinning now. "Just one more".
